Curtis Sironen and Moses Mbye picked up injuries during the match

St Helens coach Paul Wellens has given an injury update on Curtis Sironen and Moses Mbye, who both picked up knocks during the club's 24-10 win over Wakefield Trinity on Friday night.

Sironen suffered a medial ligament injury

Prop Sironen was forced off the field in the first half with a medial ligament injury and is expected to be out for around four weeks.

Mbye has a hamstring injury

Half-back Mbye, who was making his debut for Saints, lasted just 25 minutes before he limped off with a hamstring injury. The initial prognosis is that he will be out for around two weeks.

Wellens is hopeful that both players will be back soon

Despite the injuries, Wellens is hopeful that both players will be back in action soon.

Wellens: 'We've got a lot of depth in our squad'

"It's not ideal to lose two players, especially in the first half, but we've got a lot of depth in our squad and we'll be able to cope," Wellens said.

Saints have a busy schedule coming up, with games against Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors and Hull FC in the next three weeks.
