The basketball world is mourning the untimely passing of Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, the father of the late Kobe Bryant. Joe Bryant, a former NBA player and coach, passed away at the age of 69 on July 16, 2024.
Joe Bryant, known as "Jellybean" for his jovial personality, was a talented forward who played 10 seasons in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, and Houston Rockets. He was drafted 14th overall by the Golden State Warriors in 1975.
Beyond his on-court accomplishments, Joe Bryant was a devoted husband, father, and mentor. He is survived by his wife, Pam, and his daughters, Sharia and Shaya. Joe Bryant's legacy as a player and a father will continue to inspire generations to come.
