9/11 Run to Remember 5K
Race returns to in-person for 2023
Registration now open
The 9/11 Run to Remember 5K will return to an in-person format this year, with the race set for Thursday, Sept. 7, at the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan.
The race, which is now in its 21st year, honors the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and raises funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which provides support to first responders and their families.
The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will follow a course that winds through the streets of Lower Manhattan, including a portion that runs along the Hudson River Greenway.
Registration for the race is now open, and runners can sign up online or by mail. The entry fee is $50 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under.
In addition to the 5K race, there will also be a virtual race option this year. Virtual runners can complete the race anywhere and at any time between Sept. 7 and Sept. 11.
The 9/11 Run to Remember 5K is one of the most popular running events in New York City, and it is a great way to honor the victims of 9/11 and support a worthy cause.
