Ireland to Face South Africa in Two-Match Tour
Fixtures Confirmed by South African Rugby
First Test Scheduled for July 6th
Ireland will take on World champions South Africa in a two-match tour next summer, with the fixtures confirmed today by the South African Rugby Union. The first Test is set for Saturday, July 6th, with a 4pm kick-off Irish time at a venue yet to be determined.
Ireland's summer tour is to South Africa, home of the World Cup champions. The second Test is set for a week later, on Saturday, July 13th. The venue for that match will also be confirmed in due course.
Ireland underlined their status as the number one team in the world with a bruising 13-8 Rugby World Cup victory over defending champions South Africa in Paris last October.
